I'm answering you from Mexico City (apologize for my bad english).
1-I'm not a trained musician.
2-laptop for deconstruction and software generation of sound. Drum Machines and Synthesizers for sort of traditional electronic structures, and some effects for the pleasure of non-nature sound.
3-In my case easy, but perhaps not so for many people.
4-both parts yes.
5-comfortably sited and lot of abstract design work more than twiddling knobs.
6-abstract glitch ambient, some dancefloor like click house, 2step, dnb.
7-for the abstract only if you use them in a completely new way and interacting with electronics.
8-good question.
9-yes
10-mainly.
11-Very long answer needed, but basically "I don't like punchis punchis" or "I don't have the slightest idea what you're talking about. (we're in Mexico)
12-there is: the sampler.
13-self destruction if you attempt to make cheese music.
14-Of course, code-programming virtuoso, sound design virtuoso.
