Hey I'm running a 2ghz P4 with 1Ghz DDR RAM and I still have to bounce stuff
down :( gggrrrr
Hey, this is the way I look at it. The whole dnb sound is based off of a practice that derives from limited computing resources: resampling. Every time I hesitate to bounce to audio, it's due to a misplaced anxiety about sacrificing 'total control' over the sound. However, when I ultimately do, I always find it doesnt significantly stifle any creative options, and even sounds doper that way. The whole sick, twisted dnb sound is the result of incessent processing and resampling, filters upon filters, etc. Once PC's get powerful enough to run infinite plugins and audio tracks without hiccupping, IMHO it'll be the death of the sound we all know and love.
