If you just want it to loop without any funny pauses or anything or be offbeat, just find out how long a single bar (or however many bars the loop is) would play at a given bpm.
to do this, program a really shitty simple loop in fruity loops or something. draw out a sound on each step in the sequence. then set it at the bpm you want it to play. set up loop parameters so it plays once - export the loop, open in sound forge, and see how long it says it plays. a one-bar loop playing at 170 bpm is 1.441 seconds (close enough anyway), at 180 bpm it's 1.332 seconds... I believe there's a formula for figuring out length of time for a bar at a certain bpm but i don't know what it is. :) ~a -----Original Message----- From: Pranev Sharma [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, March 04, 2003 2:46 PM To: Drum & Bass Arena Discussion List Subject: [dnb-prod] RE: Beat Programming im trying to get a loop all nicely edited in soundforge, so it can be looped up as an audio sample in my sequencer cubase.
