 According to what you write, it's strange that it did work before.

 The situation is not uncommon: Puzzle has item_id property and so does
 ItemPicture. These are NOT unique keys in neither of them. Now I'm trying
 to get the result set where Puzzle and ItemPicture are JOINed ON item_id.
 How can I do this common task with Doctrine?

 There's unfortunately no option to change the ON part of a query in
 Doctrine. Can I do it myself when writing a DQL query?
