No, I didn't check at the time which version introduced this. This ticket
is very detailed and a relevant test case should have already been
included in the sanity tests. I'm not describing an unusual database
situation here.
I've now raised the priority of this ticket since I consider the inability
to perform such a not uncommon task a critical malfunction.
