It may help renewal rates.
Do you happen to know what the renewal rate is for com net org biz and info 
?
.uk is about 60% renewal rate according to Nominet.

Well thats useful.

As long as the advertising is not controversial or hijackable (e.g. Tucows 
selling the space to a third party who put porn in the ad rotation).
