Wouldn't there be potential problems by not having it real-time, e.g.
for outgoing transfers?

Scenario: example.com WHOIS is updated to reflect a new admin email
address in advance of an outgoing transfer, [EMAIL PROTECTED], instead of
the old [EMAIL PROTECTED] Owner then immediately attempts to transfer the
domain name to GoDaddy or NSI or someone else (for whatever legitimate
reason), but the transfer request (from the gaining registrar) goes to
[EMAIL PROTECTED], instead of [EMAIL PROTECTED] (and this could cause a lag of
up
to a week at some registrar systems, if they don't allow one to cancel
the transfer request but instead have to wait for it to fail)

Sincerely,
