One of the things I first got wind of when I joined the Al Stewart mailing list, was a CD titled "Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time", which was a compilation of "abandoned tracks" from Al's pile of tapes. He put the CD together using a small independent label. And he did it just for the fans. The CD was limited production (1000 units) and advertising was by way of the fan club and mailing list.
Sure would be great if the Doobies could be talked into doing something similar. I'll bet there is still TONS of dyno-supreme material (at least to us die-hard fans) still waiting to be heard.
