Jeff Boller put a question out to us about whether we like a song immediately or does it take a few listenings. Music Man in particular was mentioned. Here's my two cents worth. As I've gotten older (I hit 39 yesterday) my musical tastes have become much more diverse, expanding into contemporary jazz and big band, so when I became involved with the DBFC, I went back and listened to all of my Doobs stuff with a whole different set of ears, "discovering" such absolutely great tunes as Daughters Of The Sea, Clear As The Driven Snow, and Music Man (and many others, of course). I guess that just illustrates the point that it usually takes me a few listens to like a song. I'll admit that China Grove was an exception - I can still remember the day back in 1975 when I heard it for the first time and was just blown away by it. That day set me off on a course that led to here, now, this morning, being able to tell all this to this great fan club. Thanks for listening.
