Hello ,

           Here's a response to a question posted a few weeks ago. I
haven't seen any other replies and didn't have a confident answer until
today.

The opening band for the Doobies '75 autumn tour through
the Mid-Atlantic was "Heartsfield" or a similar name. I'm sure
they had fun every night because the Doobs were in strong musical and
pyrotechnical glory. Actually this opening band was quite good and
performed a song very similar to Gary Wright's "Dreamweaver" nearly a
year before 'weaver was on the charts.

Billy Payne was playing keyboard but I have no memory of TJ
performing.

Was a great show anyway and apparently I was there----my
first concert ever---- because I've been having some difficulty
remembering the event. :-)
