remembering the event. :-) >>
Yeah -- Similar thing for me. My first Doobies show was 1975 at the Oakland
Collesium -- think that's the name -- the outdoor sports arena where the A's
play. Anyway, this was one of those Bill Graham Presents "Day On the Green"
deals. The show started at 10:00 AM with Bob Weir's Kingfish. Then came (I
think) Jesse Colin Young.... then The Eagles... then the Doobies. Yet, after
all day in the sun, smoking weed, dancing, etc, we were totally fried! By the
time the Doobies came on, it was all we could do tjust o maintain under the
extremely crowded, extremely hot summer-sun conditions. Consequently, I have
little memory of that event. Well, I do remember everybody wore puka shells
at the event. (Remember that?) I musta slept 24 hours straight after that
one! (My last Day On The Green, by the way. Thank God.)
