Provably a salutary lesson about not being to keen to upgrade to the
latest version ;-( And one from me: Do you have Balena Etcher and
does it work for you. It doesn't for me on 25.04. and actually I seem
to have lost it.
I use the RPi Imager, which has always worked fine.
