You can examine the current value of the power_save parameter with

     cat /sys/module/snd_hda_intel/parameters/power_save

If it isn't 0, then you could change it to a 0 temporarily, to see if
it makes a difference to the burping noises. I believe it should take
effect immediately.

     echo "0" | sudo tee /sys/module/snd_hda_intel/parameters/power_save

It might not actually solve the problem, of course.
