Thank you for the reply. I will plan to do the upgrade some time soon, that is 
not questionable. Now back to this, I checked the following:

# strings /usr/libexec/dovecot/deliver | grep sendmail
/usr/lib/sendmail

So, if I understand correctly, this is fine.
