Monty,

I've experimented further, and I still can't get Firefox to handle
Ctrl+Enter searches without patching.

Here's a solid repro case:

- Set IE as the default browser, using SetBrowser
- Start Firefox, and set it as default browser if it asks, otherwise go to
Tools -> Options, and Check Now
- Close Firefox and restart DQSD

- Type winwonk in DQSD and hit Enter - this should work
- Type winwonk and hit Ctrl+Enter (yields http://www.winwonk.com) - this
should fail

Now, go into the registry and find the following key:
        HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\HTTP\shell\open\ddeexec
- Remove the default value
- Remove the subkey called Topic
- Set the default value of the subkey Application to "FIREFOX" (sans
quotes).

- Go to DQSD, type winwonk and hit Ctrl+Enter (yields
http://www.winwonk.com) - this should now succeed

Does this behave differently on your machine?

Many thanks for any insights,
Kim
