Thanks for the reply. I have a standard install (C:\Prog Files\etc.). I
did have a keyboard hook issue as WIN-S is a shortcut for MS One Note. So I
changed my localprefs to use WIN-X. I actually changed it in system
prefs.js file also.

Subject: Re: [DQSD-Devel] Vista problem
One "start-up" issue that took me long time to figure out, without being
able to easily reproduce was due to loading of MSXML DLL. Do you know if
that DLL is readily available on a drive\directory that's attached right
from the start?? (In my case it was registered from a Z:\ drive which we
"subst"'ed at start-up (through a batch file, which was NOT instantaneous)
as our main development source code base).
I guess one easy test to figure out those kind of issues would be, (after a
couple of minutes of the OS startup) removing the DQSD from taskbar, and
re-enabling it again. Is the error reported in that case as well? (I'm sorry
I can't test myself, as I don't have Vista on my computers).
Another likely source would be (IMHO) the keyboard hook. Was there a way to
disable (i.e. not-enable) the hook through the local preferences file (by
not setting the "Windows-S" shortcut for example)? Or was it considered
essential to take care of copy-paste-F8 etc operations when with in the
query text box?
Thanks,
Ozgur

Subject: [DQSD-Devel] Vista problem
OK, OK I done did it now.
I bought Vista back in March because I just wanted to be familiar with it.
But I just can't live without DQSD. Every time I start/reload DQSD I get
the usual Script error in search.htm line 11 char 1. "do you want to
continue running scripts on this page?"
Any ideas?
I have given my user full control of most of the files in .\Program
Files\Quick Search Deskbar
Any other ideas?
Much appreciated,
JB
