It doesn't appear to find a match on Google either for 'alburt instine'.  I guess it's too far from matching.  Change it to... alburt einstine ...and it should suggest a spelling.
 
The textbox gets cleared because that's the result.  Probably would be better to return a message:
[no matches found for 'alburt instine']

ok i've grabbed all the stuff (as of 12:15pm EST) and signed up for my google account.  then i put the setting in my preferences.js and reloaded the toolbar.
 
entering:
 
googlespell alburt instine
 
does nothing.  well it does something as i can see traffic go across my network connection and the DQSD text area gets cleared.  any help?

Right, that's the way I've set it up now.  The subdirectory and the XML file need to have the same name also.

To create an add-on search/feature:
 
1. create a subdirectory with the name of the add-on under the addons subdirectory
2. create an .xml file with the same name as the addon, with the same format as the searches.
