This
first example has been cleaned up, and it should be pretty easy to duplicate for
other add-ons. Here's the install kit...
Any
more thoughts on whether this whole add-on thing makes
sense?
it does show up in menu. it may have
before... i just didn't look in 'Other' category.

add-on
Does it still not show up in the menu? The latest install
should put it in the 'Search the Web' category.
Nice!
thanks,
JB

googlespell add-on
Here's another install, that should pop
up a message if Google doesn't return any searches.

googlespell add-on
It should show up in the 'Others'
category now (just changed to 'Search the Web'). Attached is
an install for it. You might want to check it
out.

googlespell add-on
i also noticed it doesn't have a
<category> tag and doesn't show up in help or the
menu.
is this intentional?

googlespell add-on
Right, that's the way I've set it up
now. The subdirectory and the XML file need to have the
same name also.
check that...
when adding addons the _XML_ file goes
in the subdirectory for the addon.
dumb spellchecker!
JB
to be clear...
when adding addons the mol file goes
in the addon subdirectory for the
addon??
...just storing this info up for some
FAQ.
thanks,
JB
To create an add-on
search/feature:
1. create a subdirectory with the name of the
add-on under the addons subdirectory
2. create an .xml file with the same name as the
addon, with the same format as the
searches.
