Do I delete everything else in the localalias.txt doc so that all that's there is this one line at the very top

d|wmd %s|Merriam Webster|Merriam Webster Online Dictionary|Reference\Language

Is >>, Configure ,  Reload the same as entering 1 or I or | or ! in the text box? In other words, I can't tell what the character "DQSD by entering ! in the text box." is so I pressed Configure > Reload.

Also, am I correct that I would always have to include the prefix d ?   If so, it's not much different than what works now = ": octogenaria" In fact, "d" or ":" saves a step, as I don't have to mouse the >> to get to dictionary.com or Merriam.

 Thanks

Kerry

Subject: RE: [DQSD-Users] Can I change the default dict from dictionary.com to merriamwebster.com?

Kerry,

You would add something like the following to its own line in localaliases.txt:

d|wmd %s|Merriam Webster|Merriam Webster Online Dictionary|Reference\Language

where the format is as follows:
<alias>|<action>|<title>|<description>|<category>

So in my example above d would be what I typed to invoke the search.
So entering the following in DQSD would launch a Merriam Webster dictionary search for octogenarian:

d octogenarian

After you make this entry in localaliases.txt and save it, you must reload DQSD by entering ! in the text box.

Make sense?
Also FYI: any line beginning with // tells the program to ignore the rest of the line because what follows is a comment for documentation purposes.

Where in the localalias.txt do I add
