I used the Registry workaround to take care of the SP2 problem and everything seems to work. the calendar works for me. But I can't find any the "comx" and "racetv" searches that are made referenced to in the posting here and I have the most recent version of DQSD.
I also saw a post that was asking if the registry fix would disable blocking in other IE windows. Well for me it still worked when opening a IE browser window but that was a hassle for me to have it keep asking me if I wanted an activeX control used so in internet options I just enable the activeX controls and then I didn't get bothered with it. If other people are having problems with functions not working after the registry edit and you don't mind have activeX enabled you might try enabling activeX through the internet options panel and see if that does anything for you. I typed 'calendar', but I was thinking of the help window. That's another dead feature, IIRC. The problem with that is, the majority of code runs inside explorer.exe, so the registry fix takes care of that, but the help window and some popup windows run inside iexplore.exe unconditionally. So you would have to apply the registry hack to iexplore.exe as well, and that doesn't feel so good. > (has anyone tried the comx > or racetv searches which spawn an extra window to see if these > searches > function with the change??) Kim I think I remember you had tried them > before, and they were ok.. I dont have those searches in place yet > since I am rebuilding my machine. Neither of the searches with popup windows work, as far as I can tell, because of the iexplore.exe issue. I've tried adding a mark-of-the-web, but either I didn't do it right, or it just didn't work. Part of the problem with popup windows is that they all use convertStylesToInline, where they read the main document's stylesheet - that's apparently ubiquitously disallowed in SP2. I tried omitting the stylesheet copying, but then there was some other problem, etc, ad sleepium. Kim P.S. Should we move this over to the dev list?
