Dick I have been allthrough this since about June....on the Drakelist.

The 6JB6-6JB6A should be interchangeable as long as all tubes are the same
in one transmitter?

The A was just a warmup factor as in quicker if my research was correct.

2. I believe I remember that Sylvania was the tube of choice? Are there any
other manufacturers' tubes that will work satisfactorily? Are there any that
absolutely will not work?

Sylvania was the original Drake stuff, any major brand provided they are all
the same.. brand .IE RCA, etc., and matched would be good.

3. Are there any substitutes (6KM6) that will work? I have seen 6KM6's on
the auction site that are claimed to be excellent substitutes.

Some say the 6KM6 will work, others say not so on higher freq's IE 15 & 10.
At present I am using 6GJ5's or 5A's and they appear to work fine. In
addition many have agreed again on the Drakelist.

4. If this has been hashed out before, please tell me and point me to the
archives.
