Sure we care dude! We are 'into' vintage Drake radio equipment. When we see something stupid on e-Bay it causes a reaction by those who are in the know.
If you can't handle that, then "get over it". There is another R-4B on e-Bay in mint (or whatever) condition. I guess so, once you get past the rust, the dings and the dents. This is all great fun! --- On Tue, 7/15/08, Dave White <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: From: Dave White <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [drakelist] Vintage "Unused" R-4B on eBay To: drakelist@zerobeat.net Received: Tuesday, July 15, 2008, 10:40 AM Do we really care about this?? I've never seen this much attention given to an item that is misrepresented at a HamFest ... If you want to buy it, then bid. Otherwise, get over it. Look at all the free publicity they are getting, hi! Regards, Rich WA2RQY/4 SW Florida I sent a message to the seller asking how it could be “unused” when it looked a lot more used than some of mine that I know have been heavily used. Here is her response: Dear ac5aa, I was told the item had never been used. Yes it is old but its goooood. Tammi - nowthatsclever Wow – I’m not nearly as proud of my 100% rating on Ebay any more. 73, Duane Duane Calvin, AC5AA Austin, Texas www.ac5aa.com __________________________________________________________________ Yahoo!
