I can tell you from many field day experiences that low primary input  
voltage to the PS-7 will cause the TR-7 to turn itself off, especially with  
voice 
peaks or when tuning up. Turning the power switch off and back on will  reset 
it, but it will do it again until the primary input voltage to the PS-7 is  at 
factory specs. Being at the end of a long power cable will cause the problem.  
"Golly, it worked fine until it got dark and we turned the lights on!"
