Years ago, many years ago actually, I bought a VF-1 at a hamfest in Springfield Ohio for a buck. I used it with a home brew 1625 CW transmitter for my very first ever 160 meter contact around 1977. Only compalint I had was a phone call from a local ham for having bad key clicks!
