   If you look at the bottom edge of your new displays you notice a row of 
solder pads with holes. These connect to the DR-7 board with a right angle 
solder pin header. You will need a good iron and lots of solder wick. I have 
change a lot of these and usually you will need to lightly, carefully, pry the 
old displays away from the DR-7 board while heating the solder pads. When you 
install the new ones just make sure they are perpendicular to the main DR-7 
board before the final soldering of all pins. There are a few bare jumper wires 
that get soldered as well.
