QSL QSL Garey!

I tought that the function receiver ON was to be used only without the
transmitter and that the external mute had to be always used.   I
rechecked today... I think it was the switch on the left side of the
chassis for using external crystals or the internal LO that was not
making a good contact.
I tested anyway the receiver with a homebrew version of the Norcal
generator that has two outputs at S9 and S3. The Norcal is a cheap
version of the Elecraft generator and mine is a cheap version of the
Norcal hi hi... however at S3 I could actually hear it quite clear...
no damage a all. It was just a bad switch!
