QSL QSL Garey! I tought that the function receiver ON was to be used only without the transmitter and that the external mute had to be always used. I rechecked today... I think it was the switch on the left side of the chassis for using external crystals or the internal LO that was not making a good contact. I tested anyway the receiver with a homebrew version of the Norcal generator that has two outputs at S9 and S3. The Norcal is a cheap version of the Elecraft generator and mine is a cheap version of the Norcal hi hi... however at S3 I could actually hear it quite clear... no damage a all. It was just a bad switch!
That's all for now!! 73 Frank IZ2OOS 2010/3/23 Garey Barrell <k4...@mindspring.com>: > Frank - > > > *That sort of operation should NOT harm your 2-C.
