Not for the DR-7... :) The PC slot cover method is only recommended for the DR-7. It spreads the lifting force over a wider area, and is easy to move along the edge of the DR-7 to get it where you need it as you lift the board up. The classic Drake card puller *can* be used with the DR-7 by hooking it under the edges of the board, but unless the ends of the hooks are covered with something (or filed perfectly smooth), there is more of a tendency to scratch up the underside of the board or maybe even cause damage to traces near the edge of the board.
