With gears it takes a bit of time but it crashes.  With Chromium, 
or numerous xscreensaver GL screensavers, it crashes almost

XFree86 4.2.0 DRM code from xf-4_2-branch.  The kernel 2.4.17 DRM 
code is removed, and the 4.2.0 DRM replaces it.
