The current status in CVS is: in 24bpp mode you always get 32bpt
textures. With a 16bpp and 32bpt textures you need exactly the same
amount of texmem but have a smaller frame buffer, back buffer and
z-buffer. And I havn't heard anyone complain on dri-devel or dri-users
about too little texmem on a 64 or 128 MB graphics card ;-)
