Why is glxgears so slow (without HyperZ) on your system? rv100? dual Athlon MP 1900+ r200 with amd76x_pm ;-) progs/xdemos> ./glxgears 5835 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1167.000 FPS 8335 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1667.000 FPS 8327 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1665.400 FPS without PM (rmmod amd76x_pm) (dmesg: => amd76x_pm: 36705345 C2 calls) progs/xdemos> ./glxgears 8235 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1647.000 FPS 12380 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2476.000 FPS 12382 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2476.400 FPS 12385 frames in 5.0 seconds = 2477.000 FPS Let's see what we get with HyperZ on r200. > The patch needs some more work for non-RV100 radeon cards, but the > basics are here. > For the R200, I attached a patch-over-the-patch done by Jacek Poplawski > which doesn't work yet (but doesn't crash, at least). I'll see what I get;-) Do you have time for running viewperf-7.1.1/8.0.1? I see depth (?) corruption (wrapped around a vertical axis) and text fragments from KDE Konsole windows in the result images of 'ugs' when alpha isn't used even without your patches. Can't wait to see this GREAT stuff on r200+ ;-) -Dieter ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: Sybase ASE Linux Express Edition - download now for FREE LinuxWorld Reader's Choice Award Winner for best database on Linux. http://ads.osdn.com/?ad_id=5588&alloc_id=12065&op=click -- _______________________________________________ Dri-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dri-devel
