The bug is about all three games. Guillaume crafted the patches by checking
what effect they had on WoW (OpenGL mode I think). I confirmed (and still can)
that the patches also have effect on the Max Payne issue (softening the
artifacts, but not removing them completly).
At least here the connection is clearly visible.

I dunno exactly about ut2004-demo, since it was Jiewen who suggested that the
black weapon model was also also a result of the problem described here.

I strongly disagree that this bugreport is split. The source of the visuals
issues on MP and WoW is most likely the same.
However both apps are non-native. Even worse, MP is D3D only and therefore we
also have the wined3d layer between app and OpenGL.

I found it fair to try to also have a native application here. It's probably
easier to do debugging there. So Brian, you should ask Jiewen about this -
after all the ut2004-demo stuff was his idea ;)
