That is not true. nge driver only enable the ip header checksum on 
ck804/mcp55 chipsets.
For those mcp61 devices which connected with 10/100M PHY, please disable 
the
1000fdx and then have a try. If it still does not work well, please file 
a bug against solaris/driver/nge catagory with
all the information in detail.

That will help us to trace the status.

BTW, for the devices supported by nge driver, we just can support what 
can be found in the China market now for we can not
figure out if it works or not without devices.

For MCP61 chipset, we only can find one type of motherboard in China 
market which was supported. If you find others motherboards do not work 
on nic part(Nvidia mac controller), please log a
driver for nge.
