I'll review your changes this week -- probably in the next day or two.  
I'll also see if I can cobble up full VLAN frame support for you.  Link 
notification is slightly harder, because of all the differences between 
various dnet models.  (The MII capable ones are easy.  But SYM maybe not 
so much.)

As far as Brussels -- it has integrated.  However, adding it is probably 
a follow up putback, because dnet lacks support for ndd already.  To 
support Brussels, you have to add support for the various 
autonegotiation parameters, etc.  And, dnet is going to be particularly 
sticky in this regard, again thanks to the various differences in the 
link/xcvr between different dnet models.  I might take this on myself 
later, or I might give you advice, but for now lets just move ahead with 
stock GLDv3.
