Sorry to be slow, been away for the holiday...

This suspiciously sounds like the rcm_daemon problem, where it would cause 
the system to go fubar somehow for us on sfe with sparc.

What services did you turn off?

I don't know if this is similar or not, just curious what causes this, we 
have seen it in the past where we had timeouts on one or more of the 
platforms, and some have never been issolated well enough to know what did 
fix or not fix them, IMO.
