I'm not sure which alternative you are proposing now. If you just want to remove something, then no: we could always remove more code because every line of code is a potential source of a security bug, makes the thing more complex, etc. So in this case for instance I'd prefer LOAD DATA to stay, if the alternative is to remove it. If you are volunteering to write a replacement, and LOAD DATA will stay until you have that replacement, then I'm all ++ for it. Tried to give some helpful feedback too. > Why's that ideal?
