Just a note on this…  In the RPMS … libdrizzle.so is packages under 
libdrizzle-devel based on the Fedora Packaging Guidelines…

It's my understanding that 'lib drizzle.so' is not required for the package to 
run properly, assuming that anything requiring lib drizzle compiles against the 
*versioned* .so files.
