Hello Paula, 1) That "Internal System Error" message is a generic DSpace system message which does not provide the information needed to solve your problem. See the "How to Troubleshoot an Error" page on the DSpace Wiki in order to learn how to get more information: http://wiki.dspace.org/confluence/display/DSPACE/Troubleshoot+an+error If you've found out more, best ask via the dspace-tech list https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/dspace-tech.
The docx shouldn't be the problem, as the format is part of the default bitstream format registry. Are you able to submit an item with a bitstream at all? Some frequently made errors are in the email server configuration and the permissions of the dspace installation directory, both will prevent you from submitting an item. 2) The DSpace System Documentation is the only documentation shipped with DSpace (assume you know it). There are a lot of additional guides, howtos etc created by the DSpace community, see the DSpace Wiki Resources page for more details: https://wiki.duraspace.org/display/DSPACE/DSpaceResources Hope that helps Claudia Jürgen Am 23.08.2010 15:39, schrieb Paula Fitzpatrick: > 1) I'm currently just adding some test documents, uploading some > simple .docx files from my PC.
