We've gone the "rolled your own" approach for Java/Tomcat. So, we downloaded Java/Tomcat from the usual Sun/Apache sites and installed both in that manner. When I did this install, I had trouble getting the latest versions of Java/Tomcat through the RHEL support channels. So, I scrapped that idea right off the bat, and just downloaded the latest & greatest from Sun and Apache. However, we are using the Apache web server through RHEL support channels (since that was up to date). And we have mod_jk compiled from source (my notes on wiki: http://wiki.dspace.org/index.php/ModJk), so that we can use Apache + Tomcat to serve up DSpace. Feel free to contact me for more detailed info. I'd be glad to share installation notes to anyone interested. - Tim -- ======================================== Tim Donohue Research Programmer, Illinois Digital Environment for Access to Learning and Scholarship (IDEALS) 135 Grainger Engineering Library University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] web: http://ideals.uiuc.edu phone: (217) 333-4648 fax: (217) 244-7764 ======================================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
