In 3.x: Solr logs are in catalina.out by default; even if you enabled
Solr, "browse by" uses DB tables by default (see
browseDAO.class/browseCreateDAO.class in dspace.cfg)
In 4.x: Solr logs are in catalina.out when you increase level to
DEBUG; Solr is enabled by default for everything including "browse by"

I could tell you more about why a Solr query is fired there if you
send me the stack trace above "Caused by".
