About the only reason why you have to have multiple terminals is if you are 
running multiple ID-1s.

You can run as many other radios as you want.

And remember, you don't have to be registered. Registration only gives you the 
ability to link and call sign route.

I've got a number of different radios, they all have the same call sign and no 
suffixes.

Unless you plan to use them all at the same time why not just place
the registered call sign in the UR and go on until K2DIG comes back to
life ?
