Historically this product has caused problems for some folk (search
Norton Internet Security and logitechmedia server). Free Avast is
another such problem causer.

If comfortable with doing so, why not uninstal NIS , reboot and see if
things work properly (there used to be an unistall tool) I have found
Windows AV and firewall effective enough, over the years.:)

Also check you ports are OK
