Don't use Stuffit Expander 5.5, use version 4.01 to avoid all those
problems. On the PC download the Stuffit Expander 4.01 Installer
(272k binhex version) from
http://www.aladdinsys.com/expander/expander401.html or
ftp://ftp.aladdinsys.com/pub/_old/mac/StuffIt_Expander/ Then
use you MacTrans program and then copy the Stuffit Expander Installer
to the hard drive of the 270c
Install Stuffit Expander 4.01 on the 270c as follows:
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE FOR STUFFIT EXPANDER 4.01
5. Insert the floppy disk containing the Stuffit Expander 4.01 installer
6. Drag the install out onto the desktop to copy it there
6. Double click on the Installer icon
7. Click Continue button
8. Click Continue button
9. click Install button
10. Click Install button
11. Click OK button
12. close all windows
13. Drag the stuffit expander installer icon to the trash
14. Restart the computer with the Command and Option keys
held down to rebuild the desktop
