Just think you could fry eggs and make breakfast on that sucker if your gas
goes out!
You have a G3 upgrade don't you? O/S 9 cycles faster and does create more
heat and makes your computer work harder.

Subject: [Duo2400] 2400 running hot on OS9

Well, I finally upgraded my beloved 2400 to OS 9 because that pesky
MacSpeech does not run on 8.6.

I kept the full 8.6 system folder and I will put it back in a hitch if OS9
gives me troubles.

Anyway, my computer now runs really hot! I can feel the heat emanating from
it. I set the Energy Saver SP to my usual settings but not much changed.

Any ideas? Does OS9 tax the processor more?
