I have a LaCie 12x4x32x CDRW drive.  I also have an Apple (Matsushita) CD 
drive.  Last time I wanted to boot my 2400 off the CD, the Apple would 
not work.  So I tried the LaCie and it worked!

Just keep your finger on the C key, and keep praying.
