I've looked through a couple catalogs and the largest rechargeable D batteries I've found is only a paltry 5000 mAh (or 5 Ah) but I did find a few one use disposable batteries better than that. There are some large 6v lantern batteries (about 3" by 6", 4" tall) that holds a hefty 14 Ah. Just pick up 2 (for the required 12v) and I've got a 3 days power failur survival kit. Also I have an old USP system that aren't in use but it's internal batteries can pack 40 Ah or one solid week on my Duo 280c. The reason I haven't used that is because it's maximum output can't keep my 15" monitor powered, let alone my computer. Too much amps were needed. ---------- Duo/2400 List, The friendliest place on the Net! A listserv for users and fans of Mac subportables.
