Cracked or shattered LCD display, keyboard that won't work (esp. if it's a rev. A and B), bent frame preventing batteries from working (not an issue if the laptop would be permantly plugged in AC power), no disk drive, Duo PDS connector door broken off easily, OS folder rearranged or missing inportant files, blinking ? icon at startup... I could keep going on. When you have any child, especially one inexperienced with computer, anything can go wrong. I'd prefer a desktop computer over laptop for classroom use since they are usually more durable than a laptop.
