Yeah, I once knew a secretary whose pencil drawer was lined with cosmetics. No
pencils in site. She was responsible for typing up dozens of request letters
every day using the same basic letter template. However, she did not know how
to save. So she typed the same form letter from scratch every time. Even if
there was a mistake. A colleague of mine tried to show her how to save &
retrieve a document, but it was beyond her to master. So it continues. Talk
about your $2,000 typewriters! In her defense, it was a DOS based computer.
However, my old landlord may be right, if however crude: "If some people had
to be able to think to [excrete], they would die of constipation."
