The Sony Vaio Slimptop is mainly notable for conserving space.....it isn't really a 
good looking design though....it's just a little box.  It's not as if Apple has never 
come up with this before.....they had prototypes for very similar computers.  

The Twentieth Anniversary Mac, on the other hand, is a masterpiece of design (much 
more so than Apple's other award winning designs).  

It would be great if Apple ever could make a more mainstream version of 
this...obviously it couldn't the exact same, since Apple destroyed the molds.  But 
according to the book AppleDesign, there were talks of doing a massmarket computer 
based on the TAM concept.
