Well, I installed DP 2.3 on my friend's 5300cs and my own 1400cs machine last year,
and never had any problem. DP 2.3 only need 14 MB RAM (default setting after running
the installer CD). It took almost 2 minutes on a PB5300 machine to completely
finished loading (launching) DP. Maybe with the recent and latest DP feature, it
just won't load on slower machine. BTW, DP 2.5.1 run fine on my 3400c, I even use
the MAS plug ins from time to time (mostly parametric eqs). Anyone who are looking
for digital audio laptop but won't spend 2000+ bucks on newer G3 machine should
consider this 3400 series.
