I guess I should re-add my two cents re blown 2400's since I had three (count
them, three) of them go bad on me. I still suspect it was due to a faulty
SCSI cable from my old Apple CD rom drive which blew the mother board. I
didn't realize it was the culprit until the third 2400 went. Needless to say,
I don't even think about connecting or disconnecting ANYTHING to my SCSI port
unless the 2400 is completely turned off.

Fortunately, there is a god in the form of Arnie Rameriz at MCE
(www.powerbook1.com) who has repaired all three and upgraded two of them to
cardbus compatible. I am waiting for the third one to arrive which will have
the capability to run the Canon C635 printer through the cardbus enabled USB
device.

Even with the poorly designed weak SCSI port the 2400 is still the best
computer I have ever had and since Arnie also upgraded my "monster" 2400 to
320mhz/112ram/10gig hard drive this baby really rocks and rolls. And it's
only 4.5 lbs.
